Right Six Consulting Inc. specializes in pile load testing and deep foundation engineering. We are committed to producing smart designs and reducing the total overall cost of deep foundation projects by integrating the latest pile testing technologies with solid engineering design principles. We work collaboratively with clients, taking time to understand their specific requirements, and working closely with them as field conditions and job requirements change.
Right Six was founded in 2010. After 15 years working as a structural engineer, its founder saw a need for a company dedicated to foundation engineering, able to bridge the gap between the worlds of structural and geotechnical engineering. He also recognized the importance of emerging pile load testing and quality assurance technologies, and wanted to make them more accessible to companies throughout western Canada.
The first service offered by Right Six was high-strain dynamic testing (PDA). To make testing more affordable, we designed and fabricated a truck mounted testing system (the THUMP). The THUMP can be mobilized to sites when a pile driving hammer isn’t available, allowing us to perform PDA testing where it previously may not have been an option.
The company has grown, and now provides a full range of pile testing and pile quality assurance services, as well as foundation and structural engineering design services. We remain dedicated to providing the best design solutions to our clients. Our engineers spend time in the field, and understand field equipment and site conditions, which helps them to produce real-world, practical deep foundation designs.
Where we work
Right Six is based in Calgary, Alberta. We are permitted to practice engineering in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario, and have also worked on projects in the United States and South America.
